A Christmas Carol, by Michael Paller, based on the book by Charles Dickens Audition Information: Stage Door Productions will hold auditions for "A Christmas Carol," by Michael Paller, based on the book by Charles Dickens. The play is about Dickens writing "A Christmas Carol." Auditions will be on Sunday, October 4 at 3 p.m. and Monday, October 5 at 7 p.m. at the Stage Door office at 805 Princess Anne St., Suite 3, Fredericksburg, VA 22401.
Readings will be from the script. Please call Sheila Clark at 972-0305 if you would like additional information. A cast of ten characters will play a variety of roles. The characters are as follows: Charles Dickens: Early thirties, a dynamo of energy. The Child: A boy approximately 10 years old. Mark Lemon: Middle aged and corpulent. Frederick Dickens: Younger brother of Charles, early to mid-twenties and charming. Clarkson Stanfield: Early thirties, mischievous yet gentle. Helen Hogarth: A girl approximately 10 years old, niece of Charles Dickens. Charley Dickens: A boy approximately 10 years old, son of Charles Dickens. Mrs. Stanfield: Early thirties, wife to Clarkson Stanfield. Catherine Dickens: Early thirties, wife to Charles Dickens. John Forster: Friend and advisor to Dickens. Thirties, gruff and taciturn given to occasional fits of joviality.
